Faced with the appearance of spectacular advertisements where the silhouette of the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, was disseminated, various Internet users ironized that it was an advertising campaign by comedian Teo González.

Even personalities such as the former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox Quezada, or the comedian Chumel Torres, jumped on the trend in order to mock the alleged early campaign of the head of government for the upcoming 2024 elections; situation that could not go unnoticed by internet users who crowded social networks with memes and funny comments.

For his part, the former Televisa star comedian was ironic about the controversy and ironically awarded such a campaign in billboards for his benefit.

“Thank you for the carnal support! Stay tuned for the tour, more dates coming soon, follow me on my networks for more information, ”the actor posted on his official Twitter account in response to Chumel.

The campaign on social networks was baptized with the name of #EsTeo parodying the original legend #EsClaudia; hashtag with which the best memes of the situation have been compiled.

But the comparisons of the campaign did not stop only with the comedian, but also the netizens also found similarity in the billboards of Claudia Sheinbaum with the singer of the pop industry Ariadna Grande.

And it is that after the images of different public announcements were disseminated in different cities of the Republic, various political actors, and the general public, accused the capital's chief of making anticipated political propaganda with the use of public resources or income " illicit" to promote his candidacy for the presidency in the next elections, being one of the favorite "corcholatas" of the country's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).

However, on the afternoon of this Tuesday, December 27, the Head of Government, in a conference with some media, declared that her government had not interfered in the collation of the billboards and that she had even notified the National Electoral Institute (INE) before the new polemics disclaiming any responsibility.

“I already slipped away. I already incorporated it into the National Electoral Institute from the first time someone sent me a photograph. We have parted ways ever since. And well, they are people who decide to organize and upload them, but in no way is it something that we are promoting,” explained the candidate for the presidential candidacy.

It should be remembered that in previous days the capital's chief had denounced the electoral body for "violating her rights" by ordering it to publish a letter in which it distanced itself from another campaign broadcast on fences with the legend #EsClaudia. This situation caused the discontent of Morenista sympathizers and even the Tabasco president Andrés Manuel himself, who exploded against the INE for violating the Constitution with his requests.

Following criticism from the opposition to the capital's president, deputies from the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) bench announced that they were responsible for the spectacular vehicles as a show of support for Claudia Sheinbaum and as a position against the INE.

It was Aleida Alavez Ruiz, vice coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group in the Chamber of Deputies, who used her social networks to explain that, as a right of freedom of expression, officials from the icing party put up the billboards in different parts of the country.

“Exercising our political rights, deputies of our movement promoted spectacular advertisements in various entities in support of Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum; she is freedom of expression and against the censorship of the INE. ”, published the deputy on her social networks.
