How public transportation, security guards, and garbage collection will work on New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve
On Saturday, December 31 and Sunday, January 1, several services will be affected due to the holidays. Both in cities and towns across the country, the usual public transportation services, medical guards, testing centers, and garbage collection will be disrupted due to the national holiday.
Businesses will operate as normal on New Year's Eve, on Saturday, December 31, although the vast majority will cut their activities between noon and early afternoon. Supermarkets, meanwhile, will be open until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, January 1, 2023, all shops will be closed.

During December 31 and January 1, buses, trains, and the subway will operate less frequently and with the itinerary for Sundays and holidays.
During December 31, the buses will operate as often as on weekends, and more spaced after 9:00 p.m. On January 1, on the other hand, they will have the frequency of a holiday, according to the schedule of each line.
Regarding the regulations for parking, the Buenos Aires Government indicated that on December 31 the general parking of vehicles will be allowed in the avenues, except for 9 de Julio, Perito Moreno, La Rábida, General Paz, Leopoldo Lugones, Mayor Cantilo, Lieutenant General José Luis Dellepiane, Luis Huergo, Eduardo Madero and central streets of Leandro N. Alem, Paseo Colón and Sáenz.
On January 1, meanwhile, parking will have the same conditions as on Sundays. The prohibition will be maintained in sectors where there is a permanent ban or during time slots.
In the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the hospitals will work with the guard service and the SAME, according to the Buenos Aires Government on its official site.
Meanwhile, those who must be tested for presenting symptoms of COVID-19 may do so in the fever Units that operate in the City hospitals, provided they are part of the prioritized groups: over 50 years of age, pregnant people, people with comorbidities, essential workers, living with people at risk.
For its part, the waste collection service will not provide services on Saturday, December 31 and will work normally on Sunday, January 1.
