Barcelona's top coffee shop lands in Argentina

Barcelona

The opening of Caffè Capocasa is scheduled for the first months of 2023 in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, from where it is planned to launch an ambitious franchise plan throughout the country, while continuing its expansion in Spain.

Caffè Capocasa is the result of 3 years of intense work where more than 2,000 coffee shops around the world were studied to achieve a unique concept.

The first location was inaugurated in the midst of a pandemic in the Arenas shopping mall in Barcelona with the aim of calibrating the operation down to the smallest detail, validating each product with the public, in some cases going so far as to try a dozen recipes until the final result was achieved.

“We wanted to give a new spin to the premium coffee business by putting quality and the customer at the center of the scene, but without neglecting the application of science used by global chains to achieve a totally differential consumption experience where Values such as traceability, sustainability, business ethics and excellence mark the way forward.

We dreamed of creating a network of coffee shops that take the best experiences in the world, putting the customer in the place of absolute centrality that they deserve. From this philosophical definition, the idea arises to divide the chain into different commercial companies, thus allowing each cafeteria to be operated by its shareholders, providing our customers with a standard of service that can only be achieved when the owner is in charge," he commented. Germán Llacer, who leads this project.

For a few days this exclusive modality can be enjoyed in Rosario. It is that through a know-how agreement between Caffè Capocasa and Monacle Brands and coffee, which included training staff for months, the latter opened its doors at Presidente Roca 871, in the heart of Paseo del Siglo, combining a specialty cafeteria with a women's clothing store where leading brands of national projection are sold.

"We are talking about a unique model in the world that combines the care of the product and the quality typical of a premium cafeteria, the application of scientific and marketing criteria typical of large commercial chains, with gourmet and author preparations that resemble to those that can be found in bars specialized in cocktails but that have a coffee base, also adding techniques typical of molecular cuisine” I continue.

It includes a disruptive financial scheme that allows investing from Argentina and obtaining a shareholding in one or several specific coffee shops in Spain, generating the collection of dividends in euros.

“We understand that it is an innovative business model that solves a series of typical franchise problems. In the first place, each of the coffee shops located in Spain is carried out through a commercial company different from the holding company and the other coffee shops in the chain, with the holding company retaining a minimum of shares in said companies, thus maintaining control and centralized administration, thus allowing the entry barrier to be much lower since it is not necessary for the same person to make all the investment to open a cafeteria or to operate it. In addition, the central administration solves the problem of professionalization and uniformity of the entire chain, regardless of who the shareholders of each specific cafeteria are" commented Adriano Mandolesi,

Finally, Llacer highlighted that "the development of the legal architecture was in charge of the renowned law firm Casanova, Mattos, Salvatierra and Feser."
