A 20-year-old man identified as Jesús David Martínez was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of José Antonio Perotti and Oscar Alberto Salas, committed in 2020 in the city of Santa Fe.

The investigation was carried out by the Special Homicide Prosecutor Unit of the Regional Prosecutor's Office 1. For their part, the direct relatives of Perotti and Salas were notified of the resolution and expressed their agreement.

Perotti's murder was committed on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 4300 Iturraspe Street, in the provincial capital. "From a short distance, the convicted person fired multiple shots at the victim, who died instantly on the spot," recalled the Prosecutor's Office.

Martínez's attack on the victim was framed in a context of interpersonal conflicts between the two people, according to what was held at the hearing.

On the other hand, the murder of Salas was committed weeks later on the Santa Fe-Rosario highway, in the vicinity of the access to the Santa Fe Circunvalación avenue.

According to the MPA, "the victim was traveling west on a motorcycle when the convicted person intercepted her and, with the intention of taking her vehicle, forced her to stop the march. Salas noticed what was happening, accelerated to avoid being a victim of the crime, Martínez shot him with a firearm and caused his death immediately."

On this occasion, it was an act of insecurity that culminated in the death of the victim. "In fact, the convicted person took the victim's cell phone and, based on various investigative tasks, the device was monitored, it was detected that it was in the possession of a relative of Martínez and it was recovered," the Prosecutor's Office reported.

Salas was serene on the premises of the Colón de Santa Fe club.

Martínez acknowledged his criminal responsibility as the author of qualified homicide (for the use of a firearm); and homicide on the occasion of qualified robbery (by the use of a firearm and by the intervention of a minor).

The Sentence was ordered by judges Jorge Patrizi (president), Luis Octavio Silva and Sergio Carraro in a trial in which the procedures that took place in the courts of the city of Santa Fe were abbreviated.

The defendant's defense accepted the criminal attribution made by the Prosecutor's Office and the Sentence imposed and the trial modality.

"In fact, the convicted person took the victim's cell phone and, based on various investigative tasks, the device was monitored, it was detected that it was in the possession of a relative of Martínez and it was recovered," the Prosecutor's Office reported.
