mexico-news

Dr. Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller attended the inauguration of the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, representing the Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and shared some videos of the moment that he classified as a "historic event" for the South American nation.

Through her official Instagram account, the doctor from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) celebrated that Da Silva had returned to power in Brazil, a situation that she declared a victory for democracy and launched a harangue: "Long live Brazil!" .

He also gave more details about his visit and stated that, from the Congress of the "brother country", he was able to witness a "historic change of government", since the leftist movement returned to power after the Brazilians were governed by a right-wing administration in charge of Jair Bolsonaro.

“The president of Brazil is already @lulaoficial. From the Congress of this sister country, we witness this historic change of government. Long live Brazil! Democracy prevailed!", was read this Sunday, January 1.

It should be remembered that on December 29, during the morning conference at the National Palace, the president announced that that same day his wife would leave the country for the South American nation to represent Mexico.

He also pointed out that, from his perspective, Lula's third term means a "blessing" for the Brazilian people. He explained that, as he has always maintained, his counterpart will work to make "equality and joy" a reality.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva went to the Brazilian Congress, located in Brasilia, to take office and be sworn in for the third time as president of the South American nation, after his victory in the 2022 presidential elections was made official, where he defeated outgoing president Jair Bolsonaro .

During his speech, the left-wing politician thanked the citizens who, through democracy, made his return to the Executive Branch official: "It was the victorious democracy that overcame the most violent threats to the freedom of vote."
