Sporting Cristal did not confirm the completion of the 'Celestial Afternoon'
Guillermo Montoro, legal manager of Sporting Cristal, questioned the holding of the 'Celestial Afternoon' because the security guarantees requested from the corresponding authorities were denied. The professional staff presentation event is scheduled for January 15, 2023.
The 'Celestial Afternoon' is still a doubt, but from the 'rimense' club they trust that the guarantees will be granted and they will be able to continue according to schedule. Montoro gave details about the process that is being followed so that the event can be carried out normally.

“I cannot guarantee that it will take place (the Celestial Afternoon on January 15). We submitted the request to the PNP on December 27, and this morning a letter arrived disapproving of granting the guarantees by the State of Emergency," Montoro said in dialogue with RPP.
He also announced that they have once again requested guarantees so that the event can continue. "When other teams made their reconsideration to give them authorization, we have proceeded to request the revocation of the answer they gave us, so that they reassess it and the Celestial Afternoon on the 15th."
However, he revealed that he had not discussed the issue with Alianza Lima and Universitario de Deportes. "We have not had communication with the other clubs, but we have communication within the framework of the authorizations that we request for the matches and also with the Ministry of the Interior (MININTER)."
In addition, he pointed out that from within the club they trust that the request will be approved. "Generally, success is achieved when these reconsideration requests are made, we also believe that out of common sense they should give us permission since the State of Emergency ends on the 14th and the Celestial Afternoon is a family event."
Montoro assured that he does not know the possible rival of Sporting Cristal's rival for the 'Tarde Celeste'. "I have no scope about it, in the club we have autonomy in all areas, but we have had contact with several teams from abroad, but the State of Emergency slowed this down a bit, we will contact them again."
On the other hand, he did not hesitate to refer to the possible scenario to hold the event. "We had thought that it would take place in the National Stadium, but they told us that it is undergoing maintenance, for which reason permission has been requested for the Alberto Gallardo stadium."
Finally, the Rimense legal advisor was quite concerned about a possible cancellation of the event. "It is a considerable figure that would be lost if the event (the Celestial Afternoon) did not take place."

Sporting Cristal opted to make some changes to its squad for the 2023 season. The arrival of Tiago Nunes brought with it the restructuring of the work plan and even the decision to bet on young players like Adrián Ascues and Jostin Alarcón.
With this, the 'bajopontino' team will seek to reach the top of the local tournament and also play a good role in the Copa Libertadores. However, not everything could go perfectly, since the presentation of the 2023 squad has not yet been confirmed.
Sporting Cristal will have the largest electronic screen in the country, as announced by Óscar Moral, the club's marketing manager, through his social networks:
“What will be, so far, the largest screen in a soccer stadium in Peru is coming. There are two people working to compare the height,” he was quoted as saying in his Twitter post.
In the middle of the year, the Alberto Gallardo Stadium was temporarily closed by the Municipality of San Martín de Porres due to presenting a high risk of erosion and collapse of the slope adjacent to the Rímac River.
After that, the administration began the corresponding work, such as the installation of seats in the eastern tribune and spaces for members in the western sector.
