This time it was Tini Stoessel who made an unexpected revelation about a talk that she had in the middle of the World Cup with her partner, Rodrigo De Paul.

"He called me crying and told me that he thought he had been injured," said the singer about one of the talks she had with the midfielder of the world champion team when he was in Qatar.

The conversation came the day De Paul was said to have suffered from muscle overload. On that occasion, the Atlético de Madrid midfielder trained differently from the rest of the squad and there were even rumors that he had suffered a tear. Fortunately it was not like that, De Paul was able to play the next game as a starter (it was against the Netherlands, in the quarterfinals) and the team got their ticket to the semifinal of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

That afternoon, Tini Stoessel called De Paul in Qatar. "For him to tell me 'I'm nervous' or for him to call me crying, he couldn't believe it because he is always a positive guy who pushes forward." the singer confessed in an intimate interview with Lizardo Ponce for the Star+ platform.

“When he texts me 'I think I got hurt' and calls me, I couldn't talk. Besides, with the pressure that the boys have, I don't want to imagine being a player for the National Team”, commented Tini Stoessel about the problems that De Paul suffered in the middle of the World Cup.

That day, in the midst of a wave of rumors, De Paul himself made a post on Instagram where he stated that he was doing very well.

Tini Stoessel said that the player even asked him: "What do I do, play or not play?"

“I am there, in any of the decisions I make I will be. And he decided what we all know. It is unconditional love, pride and he could not stop crying, ”he said without hiding his emotion.

De Paul finally decided to play against the Netherlands, came on as a starter and was replaced 66 minutes into the second half by Leandro Paredes.
