Attack on Cristina Kirchner: the vice requested the arrest of three members of the Federal Revolution and that their neighbor in Recoleta be raided

Cristina Kirchner

Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced this Wednesday that her defense requested new measures of evidence and the arrest of three members of the Revolución Federal group.

They are Jonathan Morel, Leandro Sosa and Gastón Guerra. In addition, he once again requested the Justice to unify the legal cases that are investigating them with the one that is being followed by the attempt on his life committed on September 1. And he requested that the apartment of his Recoleta neighbor, Ximena De Tezanos Pinto, be raided.

"Given the evidence incorporated on December 19 into the case investigating the group calling itself the Federal Revolution, my lawyers have just requested new measures of evidence and the arrest of Morel, Sosa and Guerra," the vice president reported through her account on the social network Twitter.

At the same time, he wondered: "What else will (the chambermaids Leopoldo) Bruglia, (Pablo) Bertuzzi and (Mariano) Llorens need to unify causes and arrest all those responsible? That they kill me? In that case, everyone and everyone will know that, in addition to whoever wields the weapon, there will be others responsible".

In the letter that accompanied the message, there is a request for "search of the home of Ximena De Tezanos Pinto -owner of the apartment located on the floor above that of the vice- and the kidnapping of her cell phone and all other elements of interest for this investigation, in order to clarify its links with the Federal Revolution".

He also requested that "a report be made about the activity on social networks of Ximena De Tezanos Pinto and the publications related to the rooms she had for rent."

On the other hand, according to the letter, "on December 19, a series of reports made by the Airport Security Police (PSA) were uploaded to the system. This evidence, added to another produced both in this case and in the CFP 2998/2022, forces us to deepen certain lines of investigation".

"When reading the reports made by the PSA on the phones seized in this case, what first emerges is the evident closeness between the conduct of the members of the Federal Revolution and their relatives with the attack suffered by Cristina Fernández de Kirchner on September 1. "adds the presentation.

On Tuesday, during her reappearance in an act at a sports center in Avellaneda, after being sentenced to 6 years in prison for corruption in the Highway case, the vice spoke about the attack she suffered.

"There is a patent of impunity for anyone who is not a Peronist," he said. And he pointed out against the national deputy of the PRO Gerardo Milman that he was involved in the investigation of the attempted assassination of him and continues to hold office in the Lower House.

"What happens when we find out through the media that Mr. (Millman), being a member of the Security Commission, had ties and contracts with security companies?" Cristina wondered.

At the same time, she added: "There is a letter of marque and impunity for everyone who is not a Peronist. And for everyone who is, things are invented," said the two-time president.

Until now, Fernando Sabag Montiel, Brenda Uliarte and Carrizo continue to be detained. While the former president's complaint insists on requesting progress on the alleged masterminds of the attack.

In November, Chamber I of the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber ordered the release of the members of the Federal Revolution detained for alleged threats and violent messages against the vice president.

The detainees were Jonathan Ezequiel Morel -the leader of the group-, Leonardo Franco Sosa and Gastón Ezequiel Ángel Guerra, who are also members of the Federal Revolution. Also Sabrina Basile, another member of the group, who is the daughter of the former coach of the Argentine National Team, Alfio "Coco" Basile and turned herself in to Justice.

The judges Pablo Bertuzzi, Mariano Llorens and Leopoldo Bruglia pointed out that the behavior of the detainees and the instance in which the investigation is located, "there are not enough procedural risks that allow us to maintain the measure of personal coercion ordered by the Judge of degree " , in relation to pretrial detention.

The federal judge Marcelo Martínez De Giorgi was the one who had ordered the arrest of the people linked to the Federal Revolution space, starting with its main authority Jonathan Morel.

At the beginning of December, they demanded before the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires that the detainees be investigated again for the attempted murder against them to charge them with the crime of illicit association and presented a new appeal to remove Judge María Eugenia from the case Capuchetti.

The representatives of the vice president filed an appeal to reach the Federal Chamber of Criminal Cassation with their claim to remove Capuchetti from the investigation because they consider it "untenable" that he continue to be in charge of the investigation.

"The judge's actions can only be due to negligence or bad faith, surrounded by incapacity to conduct an investigation," warned lawyers José Manuel Ubeira and Marcos Aldazábal in the presentation.

Among other points, they recalled that in the so-called "Milman track" (referring to national deputy Gerardo Milman, from Juntos por el Cambio and vice president of the PRO bloc) the magistrate, "instead of advancing, acted in a way that made it possible to frustrate the investigation and lose key evidence.

However, the magistrate rejected the request to distance herself from the cause of the attack and responded to the criticism with which the vice president's lawyer sought to justify her distance from the investigation. The Buenos Aires Federal Chamber will be the one that resolves this substantive issue.
