60% of Peruvian travelers choose beach destinations for the summer months

In this sense, Rodrigo Verán, Marketing Manager of Viajes Falabella, commented that a growth in sales is projected for the 2023 summer season of 40% above the same season in 2019, before the pandemic.
In addition, the executive pointed out that, during the summer season, 60% of peruvian travelers opt for beach destinations instead of urban destinations. This is because they prefer to disconnect from the city and live a peaceful moment near the sea.

And some of the preferred destinations for the summer of 2023 for Peruvians are Cancun (Mexico), Punta Sal (Tumbes), Vichayito and Máncora (Piura), among others in northern Peru and abroad such as the beaches of North and Central America.
Therefore, to start the year with new experiences, Viajes Falabella, the travel agency specialized in providing personalized accompaniment and assistance to its clients, recommends aiming for international destinations such as Cancun, Punta Cana, Miami and Orlando.
Any of these options are a wise decision if you want entertainment and fun in a different country. According to data from the travel agency, the minimum budget for these destinations is USD 750 on average, acquiring an international package of 5 days and 4 nights.
If after the end of the year holidays, your budget is a bit tight, but you still want to travel abroad, Viajes Falabella recommends opting for closer destinations such as Chile or Colombia that also offer incredible settings at lower prices.
In addition, it will be important to correctly calculate the accounts of the expenses in activities and accommodation, because according to data from the travel agency, it is more economical to purchase a travel package where you can save up to 30%.
If what you want is a getaway within the country, Punta Sal, Vichayito and Máncora will be your main options. For these destinations, a budget of approximately USD 300 is calculated for a package of 4 days and 3 nights. Remember that the ideal will be to buy in advance to be able to save and thus not exceed your travel budget.
