It was in July 2022 when it was announced that Mónica Dossetti was assaulted by her brother, José Dossetti, thanks to a video that was broadcast on social networks, in which it is observed how the television producer physically assaults the remembered actress. for his roles in some telenovelas, mainly produced by Emilio Larrosa.

The case caused public outrage, because in addition to the obvious family violence, the fact that the 56-year-old actress suffers from multiple sclerosis that keeps her in a wheelchair, for which she could not do anything to defend herself, sparked criticism against her brother.

Despite the fact that the actress had been away from the spotlight for many years due to the degenerative disease she suffers from, which prevents her from leading an independent life, the public remembered her when the video of the abuse went viral, especially for her role as "Greta" in the successful telenovela El premio mayor, starring Carlos Bonavides and Laura León.

The scandal unleashed by the journalist Carlos Jiménez, known as "C4" -who shared the video captured with a hidden camera in the actress's home on networks-, reached the authorities, who took action against José Dossetti, filing a restraining order .

And it is that despite the fact that they lived together and she depended on him, José had to leave the house due to the violence exerted against the actress and in this way ensure the well-being of Mónica. It should be noted that the resolution depended on the authorities, since neither the former soap opera star nor her family wanted to file a complaint.

When the scandal broke out against the director, he shared his feelings before the cameras of Venga la alegría, where he narrated how the family dynamic developed in which he ended up hitting his sister and even threatening to strangle her.

José mentioned that the job of caring for a sick person is not easy and he delved into some of the problems he had as a result of being in charge of his sister.

“Before, my mother took care of her at home with a lot of love and she had her for four years or more, but my mother is a woman of almost eighty who uses a cane and oxygen. Monica has sclerosis and her condition is difficult because she has to be treated in many cases, ”explained the filmmaker.

“His condition is difficult, it is degenerative and it is progressive. There are medicines that cost 25,000 pesos a month and are four doses, one a week. Mónica has not had a treatment for her disease for about five years, but Mónica's ideas sometimes fail too and they will verify that because she is in analysis and things with the Prosecutor's Office, ”she said at the end of last July .

Now, five months after the commotion, the conditions in which Mónica Dossetti currently lives have been revealed. The information was provided by the journalist Sebastián Reséndiz, a reporter for the Hoy program, who said that thanks to some neighbors of the Dossetti family, he was able to learn that the restraining order against José continues and that now she lives with her sisters calmly.

In addition to the fact that no screams or anything similar has been heard at the home that was inspected by elements of the police at the time.

"I contacted the neighbors of that neighborhood and they tell me that the screams have no longer been heard, that the restriction of Mónica Dossetti's brother to approach the house continues, he cannot enter," Reséndiz told Televisa's morning program .

Likewise, the reporter mentioned that José Dossetti is taking behavior therapy and lives in the production house he owns.

"He continues to live in his production house, he lives in that property and he is regularly attending sessions at Neurotics Anonymous for these therapies and also to the Prosecutor's Office, who have not stopped monitoring Monica's condition, she lives with her sisters and it is very good for what they told me ”, concluded the journalist.
