The sweet bread is something delicious... only if it is of good quality. It has happened to all of us to buy one that seems very tempting and at the time it turns out to be a complete fiasco. That is why we have compiled some tips that will help you verify the state of the food before buying it, so you can make sure that when you get home it will be a delight.

In general terms, when choosing breads, it is always better to opt for the ones with the highest volume, since this will ensure better fermentation and in the final result you will feel it in the flavors of each bite. So if you have to choose between a sweet bread of one kilo or several small ones, the ideal is always to opt for the largest one.

Many bakeries have some of their sweet breads on display in their windows, these allow you to see the crumb, which is key. If you see small holes in the dough, these mean that the product is fresh and airy. On the contrary, if you see a firm and continuous consistency, it will be heavier, harder and drier.

If you want a handmade food, you must take into account that the shape will not be perfect, since it is impossible to create two exactly the same pieces. If you go to a bakery and they all seem to have been taken from the same mold and with the fruits distributed in the same way, doubt.

When you bring your nose closer to a sweet bread you should perceive a balanced aroma among all the smells, there should not be one that predominates over the rest.

What bakers recommend is that it be half dough and half dried fruit or polished fruit, no more and no less. So you can enjoy all the flavors well.
